A smart wearable terminal refers to a device that can be worn directly on the body or integrated into clothing and accessories, and that can interact with the cloud through software support. Its ideas and prototypes appeared in the 1960s, concept devices were introduced in the 1970s and 1980s, and wearable terminals such as smart watches began to explode in 2012. In the second half of 2013, they entered an intensive product release period.

The wearable terminal industry chain involves many links. From the perspective of industrial division of labor, it can be divided into three parts: upstream key devices, midstream interactive solutions, and downstream product services. The upstream key device links include chips, sensors, flexible components, screens, batteries, etc., and most of them have low-power versions; the midstream interactive solution provides links, including voice recognition, eyeball recognition, and image recognition technologies; downstream links are mainly finished products , Services and channels. Operating systems and applications are provided throughout the industry chain.

The wearable main chip is divided into MCU and AP (application processor). Most of the bracelets use MCUs, most of the watches use APs, and a few use high-performance MCUs. MCUs have Cortex-M0 to Cortex-M4 from low to high performance, and ARM subsequently launched Cortex-M0 + with lower power consumption and higher performance than Cortex-M0. AP mostly uses mobile phone chips, such as Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and MTK6532, but there are also chips customized for wearable terminals, such as Junzheng"s JZ4775 and MTK"s Aster SoC.
